CREATE A SCARY TEXT ON PHOTOSHOP

There are many effects which one can create with Photoshop, but today i'll be covering only one of this vast ocean of skills, effects that are contained within this era of photoshopping. Here's how to create a Scary text on Photoshop.

MAKING A SCARY TEXT
1. Create a new file Width:709 Height:147
2. Use your paint bucket tool (G) and fill the background with black
3. Type in your text using white colour
4. Try and Drag the text to the centre of the page using the move tool (v)
5. Go to layer > Merge down (Ctrl + E)
- Go to Image and select Rotate Canvas. Choose 90 degrees CW.

6. Select Filter>Stylize and Wind.
- Method = Wind, Direction = from the right
7. Press ctrl + f to reapply the effect
8. Re-open the same filter but this time set the Direction to From the Right.
- Remember to reapply it one more time as in step 7.

9. Now rotate the canvas 90 degrees CCW.
10. Next step is to apply the Ripple filter.
- I have set the amount to 95%. filter > distort > ripple

11. To make the Text look really scary, you have to make use of the colour balance effect
- Image > Adjust > Colour Balance
- I used this settings
- Colour Levels +94, -100, -89
- Tone Balance Midtones and preserve Luminosity checked

ACCESSING YAHOO! Mail ON YOUR MOBILE

Recently, people, including me, have been trying to log in to their yahoo mail through their mobile phone to no avail. It keeps bringing out an error message asking people to login with their desktop and then try logging in again with their phone. But even after trying this it doesn't still work. Most people like me are highly affected by this new development because the only way we access our mail quick and fast was through our phone. But due to determination and need, i finally found a way to do this again. Here are the steps: 1. Go to "yahoo.com" on your mobile phone 2. After loading the page, scroll to end and click on "Desktop" to change it to desktop view 3. The page will reload thereby bringing forth the Desktop view 4. Move to the top right just beside "mail" and click on "sign in" 5. It brings out the desktop sign in page. 6. Now put in your details i.e your email address and password and click "sign in" 7. It will load again and bring out a verification box, type in the verification code and click on "continue" 8. After signing in, it will take you back to the yahoo page. now scroll to the end and click on "mobile" to take you back to the mobile view. 9. HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR WINDOWS

I once used Windows 7 starter and it didn't have all the features that

other versions of Windows had. It was sometimes annoying because one

can not change the background picture, create an adhoc and many other

features that other versions of Windows possess. It was to my great relief

when i finally upgraded my Windows 7 starter to Windows 7 ultimate.

There are many ways to upgrade but here i'll be telling you how to do it

with the license key.


UPGRADE WINDOWS WITH YOUR LICENSE KEY

This is a step by step guide to doing it effectively

1. Purchase the Windows Upgrade Key

2. Now click on Start Menu and type Windows Anytime Upgrade in the Search Bar

3. Click on the Windows Anytime Upgrade Menu that comes up

4. When the Windows Anytime Upgrade windows comes up, you choose to insert the

Upgrade Key

5. then you type in the Upgrade Key XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

Note that the hyphen will be inserted automatically
6. The key will be verified after which you follow the instructions and your system
will be restarted and the new version will be installed.
PS: Do not turn off your system during the upgrade.

CREATING A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT

First of all, lets find out what a system restore point is:

A system restore point is a point at which the computer system will try to save the current condition of the system in order to be able to undo other harmful changes made to the computer system after that point. System Restore uses a feature called system protection to regularly create and save restore point on your computer. These restore points contain information about registry settings and other system information that Windows uses. You can also create restore points manually. 

Why do i need to create a system restore point?

Most people like tampering with their system, I am not saying it’s a bad thing because I do it also. The problem is that after tampering with the system e.g. the system files we find it difficult to return it back to their normal condition if any problem arises. It even makes other people format their system not knowing the solution is just by their fingertips. The best solution to this problem is creating a restore point just before you tamper with the system. 

How to create a restore point

To create a restore point when using windows 7, click on start, then type “restore point” in the search box, then click on the restore point option after the search has been completed. It will bring up the system protection tab in the system properties dialogue box, Click on the Create button, a dialog box will come out asking you to type a description for the restore point. Type the description and then Click on Create. Wait while your restore point is being created. When it’s through it will bring out a dialog box saying you have successfully created your restore point. After this you can go on and do anything you like, cos you can always come back to restore your system.

DAEMON TOOLS

Daemon Tools is an optical media emulation tool that is short for Disk And Execution Monitor Tools. Daemon tool is a Virtual drive software that emulates images in forms of Cds/Dvds. It is currently compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. It has a special mode for proper operation of copies of discs with advanced protection which are used on some game discs e.g. Football Manager 2011. The default file format of daemon tools is Media Data Extended (MDX). Daemon tools supports the following formats

b5t, b6t, bwt, ccd, cdi, cue, iso, isz, mds, mdx, nrg, ape, and flac images.

HOW TO USE DAEMON TOOLS LITE


After the installation of Daemon tools lite, if you are running Windows 7 or Vista version operating systems, a Daemon tools Gadget will be installed automatically which makes emulation of disc images easier. If not, you can locate the gadget installation file at C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite named DTLite. You can create up to four Virtual Drives using Daemon tools.
To add a Virtual Drive, Click on the + sign in the picture above, it will show you “Adding Virtual Drive”

If you are running other operating systems e.g. Windows XP, you’ll have to use the Mount ‘n’ Drive manager,

Avast Uninstall Utility

Now here is a software that most people do not know about. The Avast Uninstall Utility is a software that uninstalls Avast Antivirus completely from one's system.

There was once a time when my Avast Antivirus did not want to update, i tried installing a new version but it was rejecting it. I also tried uninstalling to no avail. then i came across this.
Now how to use it.
Download Avast Uninstall Utility then restart your system in Safe Mode. Locate the downloaded file named aswclear.exe and run. Follow the instructions and Avast will be successfully uninstalled.

Note that aswclear.exe will only work in Safe Mode. Dont forget to share.
