For those of us that hardly shut down our computers and are used to hibernating especially when there you have lots to do and cant afford to shut down. After my installation of the latest operating system from the Microsoft stables, Windows 8, i found out that unfortunately, the hibernation feature was not enabled by default. This tutorial will cover how to do this in short steps.
STEP 1: Press the Windows key + F or go to your start screen and type in "Power options"
STEP 2: Open Power Options under the settings tab. At the top left corner, select "Choose what the power button does"
STEP 3: Scroll down in the new window that appears and you'll see that the checkbox beside hibernate is not checked and its disabled. To enable it for editing, scroll back up and click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable."
STEP 4: Now go down and check the box beside hibernation then save your changes. Now you have hibernation enabled.
