Optimize Your Hard Disk Performance

For lasting and better disk performance, you should always check to see that your hard drive and file system are both tuned for optimum performance. Windows comes with two utility programs that find and fix any errors and optimize your hard drive performance.
The first of these programs is called CheckDisk. Checkdisk will check your hard drive for problems and can fix any that it finds. You can run Checkdisk by clicking on the Start button from the Windows Taskbar, followed by Programs, then Accessories, System Tools, and finally CheckDisk.
There are various other methods of running checkdisk. Some of which are listed below:

1. You can run checkdisk on any media or drive by right-clicking on the drive, select properties, and then click on the Tools tab in the dialog box that appears. From this tools tab, you can check the disk for errors, defragment it and also create backup for the drive. Now click on "Check Now" to begin checking the disk drive for errors.
2. Another method is going through the MS-DOS menu i.e Command prompt. Press "WinKey + R" to open the Run menu and then type "cmd" and press enter. The command prompt window comes up, now type "chkdsk C:/f" and press enter. You can replace the "C:/" with the drive letter of the disk you want to check.

Once Checkdisk has finished running, you should next optimise your hard drive's performance by running a program called Disk Defragmenter. You can run Disk Defragmenter by clicking on the Start button from the Windows desktop, followed by Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools, and finally Disk Defragmenter. How To Use Your System Without Mouse Using Only Keyboard

I know the topic above sounds funny but believe me its real.
This tutorial is for both desktop users and laptop users that use external or internal
keyboard that has the NUMLOCK key. If you are faced with the situation of not
having a mouse then you need this. Let’s begin.
On your keyboard press ALT + LeftSHIFT + NUMLOCK. A dialog box will come up with the options to select,
press either OK or Settings. If you pressed ok, you can now begin
to use your num-pad as your MouseKeys. But if you pressed settings, a dialog box will pop-up.
Check the use MouseKeys box and also press settings again. Here you can now customize how
to use the MouseKeys, i.e. the speed, e.t.c. then press ok and you are done.

These are the default controls of the MouseKeys:
1 – Move to top-left
2 – Move upwards
3 – Move to top-right
4 – Move left
5 – Click
6 – Move right
7 – Move to bottom-left
8 – Move downwards
9 – Move to bottom-right
0 – Click and drag
NumLock – Turns it on or off
/ - Select left-click mode
* - Select right-click mode

HOW TO PARTITION YOUR HARD DISK

There are several reasons and situations that requires one to create a partition or delete a previously created partition. But before we continue, i think its necessary for us to understand what a hard disk drive partition is.

What is a Partition?

Partitioning is the process of separating the volume of a hard disk drive into different parts. A practical example of a partition is dividing a large room, probably by erecting a blockade or by using wood to divide them proportionally in order for one to make use of the other part for something else.

Why should i partition my hard disk?

There are many conditions that requires one to create a partition. The major examples of these conditions include installing a new operating system alongside your normal everyday windows eg Ubuntu, windows 8 etc. You can also create a partition that will serve as backup for your important files and folders. It is advisable to create a partition before performing activities like those listed above to prevent loss of files or just purchase an external hard disk.

HOW TO CREATE A PARTITION

There are two main ways of partitioning a hard disk; one is to partition it when installing windows for the first time while the other is doing it after the windows installation. Here, we'll assume you have already installed windows on your pc and you now want to install ubuntu, which is another operating system on its own. Ubuntu is a linux operating system that some users will regard as more technical than windows. Every one has a right to his own opinion. Back to business, you can create a partition by using third party partition software like Easeus partition master or simply make use of the Disk Management utility in Windows. To begin partitioning with Disk Management;

• Open the Run dialog box by pressing Winkey + R. Then type diskmgmt.msc and press enter.
• Right-Click on the hard disk you want to partition(this is mostly the C: drive.)
• Now select "shrink volume" from the drop down menu that appears.

• The utility will then begin to query the hard disk for the amount of shrinkable disk space.

• A dialogue box will appear after this showing you the maximum disk size you can shrink.
• Click Shrink and follow any instructions that may come up.
• After Shrinking, you'll see the disk space as unallocated, right-click on this and select "New Simple Volume".
• Now follow the instructions by pressing next
• When you get to the image below, you choose to format the new partition if you want to use it as a backup or another partition on windows or choose "Do not format volume" if you want to use it for another Operating system, say Ubuntu.

• Press finish to create the partition. And thats all, you've just created your partition.

Troubleshooting, according to some English dictionaries, is the act of discovering why something does not work effectively and make suggestions about how to improve or solve it. To access the troubleshooting function in windows, type “Troubleshooting” in the search bar on the Start menu and proceed by following the instructions related to what you want to do. You can troubleshoot various areas of your computer from this window ranging from your hardware to program software.

To set up Godmode, do the following;

• Create a new folder anywhere you want it to be

Hello peeps, a lot of people find it difficult to download from Youtube these days so i am here to tell you how. There are several ways to
download from Youtube and other websites that have videos embedded in them.
I will teach you how to do these with the help of IDM - Internet Download Manager.

We'll be doing this in the following Steps:

1. You can search "free download of IDM" in google search and download.
2. After installing IDM, it'll tell you that it has successfuly integrated into firefox
3. If IDM displayed the previous message skip to Step 9, otherwise proceed to the next step
4. Download the IDM firefox extension here
5. After download, in your firefox browser, Go to tools and click Add-ons,
   or press Ctrl + Shift + A to open the add-ons window.
6. At the top right, Click on a small wheel that stands for settings and select "Install add-on from file".
7. Locate the extension you just downloaded and select Open.
8. Follow any instructions and restart firefox.
9. Now go to www.youtube.com and search for the video you want to download
10. Wait for the video to load and something similar to the image below will appear asking you to download with IDM

11. Click on the "Download with IDM" button and select the format in which you would like your video to be.
12. The next thing it will show you will be the dialog box below
13. Click on Start Download and your download will commence.

HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN GTA VICE-CITY SKIN

Creating your vice-city skin is a very fun thing to do. It makes you feel cool when you are playing the game. All you need is a photo-editing software e.g Paint - the default windows photo editor or Photoshop. The Gta-vice city skins follow a particular pattern, see image below

Editing images according to the layer above will create a new skin for you. Lets Begin.

1. Save the image below and open it with Paint or any other photo editor

2. Now customize the image to you liking following the layout/pattern above
3. Now save it as a bitmap, or PNG or Jpg image on your desktop
4. After saving, copy the image to the skin folder in your GTA folder
5. The folder is probably C:\Program Files\DexAry\Grand Theft Auto - Vice City\skins or find it yourself
6. Now load the game and change the skin to your own
