How to create icons with photoshop

KYD Evolution: How to create icons with photoshop
Photoshop is a very great tool for graphical designs. With photoshop, one can create images and designs that can be regarded as a masterpiece. Its not only graphical designers that need photoshop though but also web designers and developers. Today we'll be talking about how to create an icon using photoshop. An icon is a small image mostly of 64x64, 32x32 and 16x16 dimensions. It has the .ico file extension. Icons are generally used for programs and stuff but web designers also use it as a favourite icon, popularly called favicon.
Unfortunately, Adobe Photoshop does not originally present one with the option to save any image with the .ico extension. But in order to do these, we'll have to download the .ico plugin for photoshop. Click here to download it. After download, extract and copy the contents to the plugins folder of your photoshop application. This is most likely to be in your program files. To do this, open your Photoshop folder in your program files, then Open Plugins => File Formats, and paste it in the folder. Now restart or open your photoshop application, design the image you want, set the appropriate dimensions i.e width and height. Now Click on File -> Save As, and you'll now have the choice of saving images as an icon. Don't forget to share.

The Power Of Exploration

Exploration! Exploration!! Exploration!!!
People seem to over-underestimate the power of exploration, this time, I'll be referring to the world of computers and technology. Exploration is a great tool that builds up confidence, skills and general ability of a computer user. Like i enjoy saying, "A computer system or laptop is only as good as its owner". This quote simply means that even if you have the latest technology and trends of computer systems and software and you can't use them, then its all totally useless.

This short article is basically contained of my idealism because i think every minute you spend with your laptop or system watching movies, or playing games can be used to learn something huge that will make you proud of yourself. Research shows that stuffs you discover yourself stick to your memory better than those you read from one place or the other, This is just my thoughts, invest your time wisely....

How To Delete a hard disk partition

KYD Evolution: Deleting Partitions
I have come across situations where after creating partitions, i later find them no longer useful and i feel the need to delete them.
I know most people have also been in this situation so i'm gonna shed some light on it.
Before you can delete a partition from your system, then obviously you've got to have created a partition at one time or the other.
To find out to create a partition, click here.
To begin, you must be logged on as an administrator to perform the following steps.
When you delete a hard disk partition or volume (the terms partition and volume are often used interchangeably), you create empty space that you can use to
create new partitions or add them up to old or already created partitions using utility tools like Easeus Partition manager.
Note that if your hard disk is currently set up as a single partition, then you cannot delete it. You also cannot delete the system partition, boot partition,
or any partition that contains the virtual memory paging file, because Windows needs this information to start correctly.
Warning: All data on a partition will be lost when you delete it. Be sure to back up any files that you want to save to a different location before you
continue.
Open Computer Management by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, System and Maintenance, then
Administrative Tools, and finally double-clicking Computer Management. Or you could just type in the start menu search bar "computer management".
Administrator permission is required. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  • In the Navigation pane, under Storage, click Disk Management.
  • Right-click the volume, such as a partition or logical drive, that you want to delete, and then click Delete Volume.
  • Click Yes to delete the volume.
The resulting empty space is called unallocated space if you deleted a primary partition, or free space if you deleted a logical drive within an extended
partition. You can now use the empty space to create additional volumes or add them to old partitions as mentioned previously. Dont forget to share.
